roepperLast month TFoul had the story of Richard Roeper, the movie critic, writer, and yes gambler, who was in the process of working and writing his next book, “Bet the House: “How I wagered $1000 a day every day for a month on everything from poker, lottery, to a flip of a coin.”  Check out that story here. It’s been some time, and Roeper has done a nice job of keeping most of his experiences for the book, but we’ve managed to twitter alittle info of what RR has been putting his money on. So in no particular order and to help pimp the book “Bet the House: “How I wagered $1000 a day every day for a month on everything from poker, lottery, to a flip of a coin.” by Richard Roeper, is what he’s been up to.

  • Pai Gow
  • White Sox Opening Day, A major stake in the game, for book purposes.
  • Pocket aces cracked by A3.
  •  The 4 dog in Race #8 at Dairyland in Kenosha.
  • Flipped a coin for a hundred dollars a flip 100 times. Result? Not til the book comes out..
  • I’m in $1500 buy-in at Hammond Horseshoe.
  • Day Six of the great gambling experiment: the lottery. Or as I like to call it, throwing money down the drain.
  • The Sox/Cubs/Hawks/Bulls superfecta
