Bass Cheating Fisherman

Just when you think you’ve seen and heard it all comes yet another cheating scandal, but this time it’s not on the court, field or even the diamond. This time it’s rocking the world of Professional Bass Fishing. According to the Western Outdoor News Bass Tour, Mike Hart, a Southern California pro was accused of stuffing lead sinkers down the throats of fish that he caught and would submit to the weigh-in at the $100,000 U.S. Open Bass-fishing tournament on Lake Mead.

Hart, turned in five bass on the last day of fishing and all five were found to contain lead sinkers.

Harvey Naslund, Director of the WON circuit said each sinker was torpedo-shaped and weighed two ounces and were attached to a short line. Officials waited until the last day of the tournament to confront Hart, who turned in five bass on the last day, and all five were found to contain lead sinkers. Hart confessed after being confronted , and The WON Bass Circuit has banned Hart for life from this and any other competition.
